    About

In February 2010, a mere conversation about their creative interests and post-graduate degrees, turned into a dream realized. A strong bond formed when these women attended grad school together at Emerson College in Boston. Ishshah, Lady Spyce, and Georgette were tired of the options available to them culturally (from the targeted magazines stereotyping and confining black women to society’s standards of dating and beauty). These rebellas had one vision, which was to challenge the monotony and status quo and so The R’ebel Mag was born.

The R’ebel Mag highlights topics that engage readers in thought leadership, entertains with a rebellious twist, and that spotlights visionaries, leaders, and others encouraging positive change and truly making a difference.

Attaching themselves to something greater, these women are destined to live their purpose, sharing their gifts with the world through their voice.

The R’ebel Mag is YOUR place and OUR place to scream.
