October Marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This month marks the 25th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness. Breast cancer doesn’t only affect women but men as well. It’s time to educate ourselves beyond what we think we may know about this common disease.

According to National Breast Cancer Foundation:

Another fact I found interesting was the connection between antiperspirants and deodorants and their link to breast cancer development.  I’ll write a more detailed post on this later.  Here’s a link discussing past studies that have been done on this. They’re conflicting so there’s no telling if antiperspirants and deodorants play a role in developing breast cancer.

Overall, preventative measures should be in place. Here’s an early detection plan that they recommend. Take charge now if you haven’t already by performing self breast exams.

Let’s tackle breast cancer and any other DIS-EASES is by taking care of ourselves, watching what we eat, exercising, and being mentally, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. Our health is our wealth. Let’s not take it for granted. Share with us ways you’re supporting breast cancer awareness month.
