Our R’ebel of the Month is Joey Mazzarino, head writer for the nationally syndicated program, Sesame Street.

Mazzarino received national attention this month, especially in the African American community regarding his creation of the “I Love My Hair” video (see post: And A Little Child Shall Lead Them). Positive, significant and endearing, his video is a great example of the type of positive reinforcement children of all ages and ethnicities should be receiving about their appearance. We hope this is the start of something beautiful.
